A playful and colourful story awaits you in Ivanić-Grad, Kloštar Ivanić, and Križ. These three charming places now have their very own Windows to the Past—special spots that let you peek into their fascinating history.
How does that work, you ask? It’s actually quite simple… though the process of creating them was anything but!
Three little booklets, which we call Windows to the Past, bring to life the most exciting moments from the history of these towns through richly illustrated scenes. You’d never guess the thrilling events that once took place in what is now the peaceful park of Ivanić-Grad or the green space around the church in Križ. And who would have thought that a monastery could serve as a military fortress, as it once did in Kloštar Ivanić?
The Ivanić-Grad Tourist Board came up with this fun and educational project, gathered a creative team, and, with the support of institutions that recognized its potential and provided funding, made Windows into the Past available for everyone. You can pick up your copy at the tourist office in Ivanić-Grad, in the libraries of all three towns, and at many local cafés and restaurants.
Our task? Developing the concept, puzzles, and texts—bringing history to life in an engaging way!
